Today I am going to experience something awesome: skydiving from 12,000 feets with NZONE, the most experienced and longest operating Skydive operators in New Zealand!

This is a tandem skydive above Queenstown overlooking the Remarkables' moutains. It cost 395NZ$ for the 12,000 feets jump and 495NZ$ for the 15,000 ft.

The briefing with the video samples and pictures was so cool that I decided to buy both for 210NZ$ for my first ever jump.

Our group got to the aerodrome via a minibus and we got time to have some coffee and relax while looking for other skydivers landing on the field nearby.

Ok, it's our turn and I go in the small plane with 2 others first-timers, 3 skydivers guides (mine was Sacha) and 3 cameramen.

I am the last to go out of the plane and we start with a gentle back flip. From the first seconds, I remember a sensation of high speed and a big sky. Then, I have 45 seconds of free fall and it was just incredible: I would recommend it to anyone. The guide said that they got a 4 year old kid and a 96 year old man and even a dog going with them to skydive! Thumbs up, beautiful landscape and an excilarating sensation of freedom. We then pass through low clouds and the parachutes opens in a gentle way. Then it's as cool as the free fall: you just fly like a bird. I got an incredible view of the lake Wakatipu and of the remarkables. My guide was at the commands and we did some nice figures... if you get motion sickness easily as I do, I would recommend you to tell the guide before not to do too much spinning. But that only for me and it was fun too!

The landing was very smooth: you just put your legs up and the guide first touch down.

It's already 5pm and I will get my pictures and dvd tomorrow morning. I hope to do it again soon Yeah!!
