Today the weather is beautiful: sunny, sunny and sunny!! In addition, it's only a 1.5 hours walk to catch the 11am shuttle at Rainbow Bridge.

I take my time, taking pictures, visiting the side walks, trying to spot the small birds...

I arrive at the parking at 11.06am : 6 minutes late and no signs of any shuttle. No problemo: I got a tramp from an australian couple travelling in a rented mini campingcar and arrive right next to the bird reserve near the DOC offices in Te Anau. Then, it's just a few minutes walk and I finally arrive to the same great lakefront backpackers hostel. I have to wait for an available room until 2pm and then it's time for a shower and I even indulge myself at the hostel hot spa :))) aaaah, I feel so goooood! Time to relax. Time to start a french book that I found on the book shelf of the hostel.
