Today I am going to learn it all about sheep shearing and at the Agrodome in Rotorua.

The sheep show is performed by a local sheep shearer. In one hour and a half, he presents 19 breeds of sheep (including the famous Merino), provides a sheep auction and sheep shearing demonstration.

Did you know that the New Zealanders are the fastest sheep shearers in the world? A sheep shearer shears about 400 sheep per day and 300,000 over a lifetime.

The world records are 720 sheep sheared in 9 hours and one sheep sheared in 38 seconds!
